2013 was a REAL busy year!
The Swingin' Gourmets were born! The two culinary cut-ups, Hartglass and De Mattei, took audiences on a musical journey through their love affair with each other and food, promoting the REAL mission. The Swingin' Gourmets performed in California and at Dr. Fuhrman's Health Immersion in New Jersey. More performances are planned for 2014.
We began the It's All About Food transcription project in January, with the goal of transcribing all of the program's podcasts. Since we started, we have transcribed all of 2013 and 2012 programs, 175 transcriptions in all. The project continues, transcribing earlier programs from 2009 through 2011, while keeping current with new programs as we add them. Not only are the audio podcasts and transcriptions available for free at our website - our dedicated team of volunteer transcribers continually tell us how much they are learning from the programs. One objective of It's All About Food is to promote the wonderful work by people in the whole foods, plant-based movement. Transcriptions are ideal for those who might not have the ability to listen to a podcast due to a hearing impairment or just want to scan the piece at their own pace.
Another food show was added to the REAL Holiday video series alongside our Thanksgiving Celebration Feast and Chanukah shows. The REAL American Barbecue introduces our online audience to the Swingin' Gourmets. Now you can have your plants and grill 'em too. We love making new holiday traditions that are delicious, healthy and gentle on the planet.
As we added more and more content to the website we wanted to find a better way to make all of our information accessible and easy to find. ResponsibleEatingAndLiving.com has been redesigned into an online magazine which is smartphone-friendly. Let us know what you think!
In order to serve our growing audience more reliably and efficiently, we had to move our website to a different hosting provider. It seemed like a daunting task but we did it just last week. We are now poised to offer even more content in a variety of formats and can hardly wait to get started and serve you even better than before.
