What Vegans Eat – Day 1039, Travel Edition

Breakfast: We ate late last night and a lot so we were not hungry in the morning. Gary made a pot of Teeccino.

Lunch: It’s our day off from rehearsals and it’s a nice day so we decided to take a drive and go to some shops to return some items recently pruchased. Afterwards we met Gary’s sister and brother-in-law at Khanh’s for lunch. They go there all the time and they have a table that is practically reserved for them. Gary and I were not as hungry as we usually are. We skipped the Tofu Rolls and just had our usual plates. Gary got the Rice Vermicelli with Vegetables and I had the Tofu with Vegetables served with a Brown and Red Rice Blend.

Dinner: We were invited to a Chanukah party by one of the cast members. Her parents, Neri and Yaron, are from Israel. Neri made many wonderful, colorful vegetable dishes.

Here’s my plate. There were many kinds of latkes (potato pancakes). Our host made a special plate of vegan Latkes for Gary and me, made without eggs.

For dessert we had Strawberries dipped in chocolate (vegan too!) served with fresh Mint and Lemon Verbena Tea. After dessert we were treated to a juggling performance by Yaron who was a professional juggler. It was fun!
