What Vegans Eat – Day 1046, Travel Edition

Share

Breakfast: We have finished our December rehearsals for The Music Man and now have 4 days off before we fly home to New York. I had this goal in my mind to finish a number of work projects before boarding a plane on Monday evening. I knew I would have a lot more work to do once I got home. I got to work. When I was hungry I grabbed a Banana, some Celery Sticks and Mandarin Oranges. I put some Peanut Butter in a cup as a dip for the Celery. Gary made me a cup of tea. I was off.

Dinner: We were invited to a Christmas party at Gary’s cousin Nancy’s home. She eats a lot of vegan and gluten-free food and made sure there was plenty at the party. She labeled everything appropriately and let us know what we could have. There was plenty! The party table was lovely. She had made vegan/gluten-free Rice Krispy Treats. Her friend Sharon’s daughter recently watched the documentary What The Health and decided to go vegan! She brought vegan/gluten-free Peanut Butter Brownies. Of course there was Hummus and Chips, and a Lentil dish.

There was a festive Salad with Pomegranate and Raspberries.

Pizza was ordered from Blaze a local restaurant that offers vegan/gluten-free options.

Nancy made a Lentil Flour Pasta with Sauce that was very good.

Here’s my first plate.
