What Vegans Eat – Day 1199, Travel Edition

Share

Breakfast: It was our last day in Quebec. What a lovely time we’ve had! Deo steamed a head of Kale and stored them in the two small plastic containers I had brought with me. She had purchased two sandwiches yesterday to eat on her long flight back to California. She let me take the kale. We finished up the Steel Cut Oats for breakfast with Apricots and Raisins. I had brought just enough.

Lunch: While waiting for our flight from Quebec to Montreal Deo grabbed a coffee with Soy Milk, pleased that plant milk is everywhere! I devoured the Kale. I was so hungry.

When we arrived in Montreal, after going through customs we sat in a spot in between our two gates. I was going home to New York. There was a sushi place with Poké (bowls). I got the Veggie Bowl with Red Quinoa, topped with Avocado, Edamame, Mango, two kinds of Seaweed, Carrots and Tomatoes. It was expensive but very fresh and satisfying.

Dinner: When I landed in New York I took the subway home. Gary greeted me at the subway entrance and walked me home. Then he served me dinner. I was craving lots of raw vegetables and Salad and I got it along with homemade Hummus and Black Olives.

That was enough but there was more! Marinated Tempeh, Tofu and Potatoes all beautifully roasted. I took a little, knowing they’d be there to enjoy tomorrow. It’s good to be home.
