Daily Green Juice: Kale, Collards, Celery, Lime, Ginger

Lunch: Gary was feeling ironic so he went into the kitchen and created a dish that he either wanted to call Haute Tamales or Neo Nachos! I call it a deconstructed version of both! It’s a delicious plate of seasoned black beans, tortilla-chip-shaped polenta triangles, sriracha sauce, and cashew cheese.

Dinner: Our friends Janet and David invited us out to see a comedy show called Big Dummy: Me & My Old Man by Mary Dimino. We agreed to meet at Blossom Du Jour at Union Square. This is a seriously delicious upscale fast food vegan restaurant. David and I ordered the Skyscraper, consisting of a vegan burger, v-bacon, v-cheese, onion rings, lettuce, tomato, pickles, special sauce and it was worth of its name. Wow it was gooey and good. Gary ordered the Un-Chicken Avocado Griller with in-house grilled lemon un-chicken, avocado, pesto, v-mayo and lettuce. Janet got the Midtown Melt, a cajun spiced seitan, v-cheese, agave, guacamole, lettuce and chipotle aïoli. I was happy to get a bite.
