Breakfast: Who doesn’t like Pie Day? Pie for breakfast, pie for lunch… We had pie for breakfast. Just a SLIVER of course. It was good pie, Fresh Fruit Tart from our Independence Day celebration served with Earl Grey Tea.

    • The pie is amazing. I am going to be making many variations of it now that I have finally made it once. The mushrooms were not grilled, but they could be! I boiled up a pound of simple white mushrooms about a week ago. It’s part of the immune system boosting regimen to eat mushrooms and they should be cooked in water for 30 minutes to get through the tough cell walls to the get the anti tumor power of the polysaccharides. I like to cook up a batch and eat them throughout the week.

      • Thank you so much for the info on mushrooms! I’ve been eating many more, but simply sautéing in water with garlic and will boil them first going forward.

Looking forward to seeing more pies. 🙂

Hope you’re both enjoying your CA trip!
