What Vegans Eat – Day 547: Special Travel Edition

Share

Breakfast: This day was all about relaxing and basking in the glow of our successful play reading. We slept late and then talked about where to go for breakfast. It was hard to decide. When we finally got in the car it was lunch time, so we went to the Veggie Grill nearby.
Lunch: I ordered Papa’s Portobello Sandwich and I upgraded and got the Cauliflower Mash Potato Side. Although I enjoyed all of it I decided I love Cauliflower and Mashed Potatoes too much individually to want to ever mix them together again. Gary of course when for the B-Wing Salad.

Snack: Still flying high and wanting to keep the celebration going we went over to the Big Basin Café in Saratoga for our Masala Chai Teas with Steamed Almond Milk and Cinnamon and Vegan Turnovers.

Dinner: We took it easy all day. A real day off! Around dinner time we thought we would walk to downtown Los Gatos and decide what to do when we got there. On the way, Gary’s brother was driving with his wife and youngest son and they insisted we get in the car and go with them. We all went to C.B. Hannegans for dinner. I had never eaten there. I got the Simple Arugula Salad, made simpler without cheese.

And I got a side of Edamame.

Gary went for the Veggie Burger, made with Barley and Lentils and other plant goodies.

Evening: Back at the house, still not ready to end this relaxing, happy day, I made a Frozen Fruit treat with nephew Josh, made with frozen Bananas, Blueberries, Strawberries, Peanut Butter and Soy Milk. It was good!
