What Vegans Eat – Day 564

Brunch: It’s the foods that keep on giving. We wanted to finish all the food from our dinner last night and couldn’t. I thought they’d go well with Socca for a BIG Sunday brunch. Gary’s eyes opened wide when I said it so I knew what I would be doing when I got up. I made a pile of Socca crepes and we set everything outside for our feast: Black and Red Rices mixed with Peas, Chipotle Sauce, Tomato and White Wine Sauce, Bake Tofu. It didn’t look like much but as much as we wanted we couldn’t finish it all.

I made a valiant effort at finishing the Rice and Tomato Wine Sauce thinking I would not need to eat for the rest of the day!

Daily Green Juice: We were off to see Fiddler on the Roof on Broadway. Gary and I will be directing a family theater production next year in California so we were especially interested in the new Broadway version. We stopped at Westerly Market and I got my Green Juice. Next to home and perhaps New Leaf Market in Santa Cruz, this is the best green juice anywhere. It’s all organic.

Evening: We LOVED the show! Loved it on many levels. To begin with Fiddler on the Roof is a pretty perfect musical, even on a very amateur level it will delight the audience. But this Broadway version had us captivated throughout, especially the fabulous choreography with the best dancers on the planet – NYC Broadway dancers. We got home and had a big appetite. I made Teeccino with Steamed Soy Milk and Cinnamon. We brought out the leftover Socca Crepes from breakfast, the Corn Thins, Chipotle Sauce, Peanut Butter and Apricot Butter and had another splendid meal.
