Breakfast: Cantaloupe is in season! It’s time to eat a lot of it. It’s juicy and sweet. After a few slices of melon, we had Teeccino with Soy Milk Foam.
A little later it was time for Oats cooked with Apples and topped with Cacao Nibs, Flax Seeds and Almond Yogurt.
Lunch: I couldn’t wait for these leftovers – Potatoes and Cabbage cooked with Beer, Dill and Caraways Seeds, that I topped with Shiitake Mushrooms. There was Kale Salad, Brown Rice and Florida Avocados too.
Dinner: We were invited to dinner at our friends’ Bob and Charlie’s home. I’ve known Bob since the sixth grade and I have interviewed him on my show. He is the author of a number of books including Am I my Genes? As soon as we walked in we were treated to fresh Ginger Lemonade. Then we sat down to chat with some appetizers.
Later we moved to the dining room table and began with Corn on the Cob, fresh from Connecticut. Afterwards we had Spaghetti in a rich Marinara and a Sauté of Kale, Leeks and Carrots. There was also a Tomato dish, almost like a Ratatouille.
For dessert there was a gorgeous Fruit Salad.
And there were also nature’s best candy – Dates.
