I was so inspired by Jessica Nadel’s blogpost yesterday with her Peanut Butter Milkshake Smoothie recipe. When I saw it, I had to have it. I do have a problem following recipes exactly and I did not have all of the ingredients so I came up with my own. Thank you Jessica for the inspiration!
INGREDIENTS
1 banana
3 generous Tablespoons rolled oats
2 generous Tablespoons dry roasted peanuts, salt/oil-free
1 Tablespoon Cocoa Powder
3/4 cup coconut milk (we make coconut milk using a 7 oz package of Let’s Do Organic Creamed Coconut, adding 4 cups of water to it.This is more diluted than recommended, but we enjoy it this way.)
2 Tablespoons ground flax seeds
1 cup chopped Kale (I used just stems which I had leftover from making a salad and normally put them in juice)
6 ice cubes
INSTRUCTIONS
Blend all the ingredients together until smooth.
Serve immediately.
