What Vegans Eat – Day 1170, Special Travel Edition

Breakfast: We are going home! Hurray! It’s been quite an adventure and we are ready to get back to life as usual. I made our Rolled Oats breakfast with Soy Milk, Almonds and Bananas and locally grown Cantaloupe. Gary made Teeccino in the coffeemaker.

Our flight was leaving at about noon. It was delayed a little and we took off for Orlando. When we got to Orlando we learned our connecting flight was delayed over three hours due to foggy weather in New York. It was going to be a long night. And yes, we were hungry.
Dinner: I looked online to check for vegan-friendly food at the airport. We found On the Border who had a “secret” vegetarian menu. Fortunately the server was very knowledgeable and helpful. We started with beer!

Gary got a Bean Burrito.

I ordered the Bowl with Cilantro Lime Rice, Beans and Veggies. I knew when I saw it that I would be ordering more food.

For a second course, I ordered on the side: Beans, Cilantro Lime Rice, Guacamole and Tortillas. I was now ready for bed but had to wait several more hours before our flight would take off.
