Sharon Nazarian founded Big City Vegan in 2006. A former financial advisor and jewelry designer, Sharon loves fashion (her DVR is full of What Not to Wear episodes), vegan food and experimentations in the kitchen (some successful, some not so much – we’ll only share the successful ones), dancing, pop culture and healthy and compassionate cruelty-free living.Big City Vegan launched initially with a mission to make being vegan fun, fashionable and effortless by being the go-to place to shop for cruelty-free products and swag. It has grown into so much more.
The informational aspect of the site has expanded to include videos and cooking demos as well. Sharon has turned into quite the social butterfly, attending all kinds of vegan-related events around town. Sharing these experiences has become featured content on the Big City Vegan blog.
