Last week I attended a private screening of the new documentary, code blue. code blue is about Dr. Saray Stancic's journey from a multiple sclerosis diagnosis to wellness through her own adoption of lifestyle medicine. You may remember I interviewed Dr. Stancic a little over a year ago on It's All About Food. I loved this inspirational film, hearing Dr. Stancic's story and learning about other medical professionals who are practicing lifestyle medicine.
This information needs to be shared far and wide! More and more medical doctors are learning how to help people heal themselves with a whole food plant diet and exercise. If you would like to encourage your doctor to find out more, you might direct them to the American College of Lifestyle Medicine where they can become certified as a Lifestyle Medicine practitioner. We have to help our physicians become better at what they do!
code blue is not available yet for distribution. In the meantime, I recommend reviewing the list of upcoming screenings to see if it will be shown at an event near you. Bring your physician!
This month on It's All About Food I am interviewing medical doctors who practice Lifestyle Medicine and were featured in the code blue documentary. Last week I spoke with surgical oncologist, Jovita Oruwari, MD in the Progressive Radio Network studio in Manhattan and cardiologist Robert Ostfeld, MD at his Montefiore Medical Center office in the Bronx. Listen to that lively program here.
I am very excited about my upcoming It’s All About Food show this Tuesday, live at 4pm ET, 1pm PT. I’ll be speaking with Dr. Dean Ornish and his wife Anne Ornish about their new book, Undo It!: How Simple Lifestyle Changes Can Reverse Most Chronic Diseases. Dr. Dean Ornish was another physician featured in the documentary, code blue. If you have been following my daily blog, What Vegan’s Eat this past week you will know I have been sampling the Euphebe Healthcare Plant Based Program. Days 1435-1440 feature the food from this program that I was given to try. Euphebe founder, Nadja Pinnavaia will be joining me in the Progressive Radio Network studio on Tuesday and we’ll talk about this program.
But wait! There’s more. My friend, fellow health advocate and co-founder of Food Revolution Network, Ocean Robbins, has written a new book called 31-Day Food Revolution: Heal Your Body, Feel Great, and Transform Your World. Ocean reveals secrets the industrialized food industry doesn’t want you to know — and how specific ingredients and habits could be making you sick. And most importantly, he explains what you can do about it.
31-Day Food Revolution is rooted in action. Each of the short 31 chapters ends with simple, practical steps you can take to put what you’ve learned immediately into practice — and to enjoy powerful results.
Now is a great time to order. Why? Ocean is offering an amazing collection of high-valued bonus resources, worth more than $100, with every pre-order. Find out more and claim your bonuses today!
Thank you, looking forward to it.
