Breakfast: Here in the pool house in Monte Sereno, it’s all about eating simply. Today it’s Oatmeal with the usual nut, seed and fruit additions: Walnuts, Raisins, Apples, Bananas. It’s always satisfying, comforting and just good. And don’t forget to take your vitamins. Ours are pictured to the right of the oatmeal.

Lunch: The co-producer of Playful People Productions who hired us to direct The Music Man gave us a bag of food to welcome us. I finally got to cooking the Farro she gave us. It was pre-cooked so it only takes about ten minutes. I cooked it in low-sodium Vegetable Broth and added Garbanzo beans. While I waited for it to cook I had a colorful appetizer of Peanut Butter and Carrots.

Snack: Before rehearsal we had a meeting with our costume designer at Peet’s. I always ask if they have vegan items and when they say yes I have to support them and buy it. They had vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies.
