Breakfast: Homemade Corn Bread from yesterday is ready for this morning’s breakfast. It’s a great recipe, served with Peanut Butter, Raspberry Jam and Apricot Butter.
Dinner: Several months ago we bought tickets for Farinelli and the King starring the incomparable Mark Rylance. Tonight was the night! I had prerecorded my radio show in the morning so that we could get an early dinner in at Beyong Sushi. We started with drinks. I had a Sake and Gary had Glutenberg, a gluten-free beer.
There was a chill in the air with snow on the way. I went with the soup, hot in temperature and spice: Chile Mushroom Ramen, with Glass Noodles, Shiitake, Portabella, Enoki Mushrooms, Baby Spinach, Roasted Garlic, and Hijiki.
Gary had the La Fiesta with Black Rice, Avocado, Chayote, pickled Jalapeño, Black Bean Purée, Kaffir Lime Chips and Tomato Guajillo Sauce.
Walking over to the theater we passed the Juice Generation. I used to get my green juice there but tonight we were in for a hot drink. We checked out the menu for options.
The Ginger Fix, with Almond Milk, Ginger, Chai Spices and Agave was it.
Evening: The show was wonderful. Every moment was perfection. We had on-stage seat which made it more exciting. When we got home, we were still buzzing with energy and settled in with a little Corn Bread.
