What Vegans Eat – Day 1631

Share

First Meal: It’s Tuesday and that means it’s time for another episode of It’s All About Food. We ate our Rolled Oats with Apples, Soy Milk and Walnuts today and I read the new Bish Bash Bosh cookbook to prepare for the show.

Second Meal:
Gary joined me in the second part of the podcast after interviewing Ian Theasby and Henry Firth. Gary is my favorite guest. When we were done, we took a drive to Santa Cruz and got a late lunch at Dharma’s. I chose something new for me, the Tempeh Burger. It’s tasty but everything is always too salty here for me.

Gary got his favorite Breakfast Burrito. We sat outside and our lunch began very well. There was an elderly woman sitting at the next table, talking to herself, and eating a sweet potato. She made some odd moves with her body and bent over. We realized she was in trouble. I tried to help, asking her what I could do. She was resistant and a bit belligerent. One of the staff people called for an ambulance. I stayed with the woman as she mumbled about the numbness in her legs and shook her arms in the air a few times. The ambulance and a fire truck came and the EMT folks took over. I went back to eating my burger. They took her away and I sent healing thoughts with her.

Third Meal: Next stop was dinner with John and Deo Robbins. Deo made a beautiful fresh Salad with marinated Lemon Tempeh and Tahini Dressing.

For dessert we had fresh Strawberries topped with a homemade Almond Cream and Chocolate Sauce. Thank you Deo!
