What Vegans Eat – Day 1643: Rosendale, NY

Share

First Meal: I joined my brother Barry and his family on a trip to the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary. I had never been there. I got to their house early and had not eaten anything. I brought a bottle of water along. Visiting the sanctuary was a lot of fun and we had a nice tour visiting the cows, pigs, chickens and goats. Afterwards we went to the Rosendale Cafe for lunch.

Rosendale is a cute town, all of about a block long.

There were lots of people eating outdoors on the patio tables but my niece wanted to eat inside. It was nice and cool there.

This is a vegetarian restaurant with lots of vegan and gluten-free options. I started with a Salad.

We all shared the Mezze Platter.

I was excited to try the Tofu Stroganoff served over Brown Rice. It was delicious.

My brother talked me into sharing a dessert. We got the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake.

This was a very nice place! When I am in this neck of the woods again I know I will come back.

Second Meal: We were all very stuffed from lunch but when we got back to their house, the kids pulled out the big bowl of Watermelon. I had some too.

Third Meal: Finally back at home, I made a soup from our Green Zenphony leftover from a couple of nights ago.
