First Meal: Gary made us bowls of Oats, Apples, Raisins, Bananas and Soy Milk. I was not disappointed. It was simple, wholesome, nourishing good food.
Second Meal: We are staying in Monte Sereno and the Los Gatos Creek Trail is nearby, in walking distance. We walked their and did the piece we always do which has some nice steep portions to get the blood pumping and the muscles working. Naturally we were hungry afterwards. Where else would we go but the Vegetarian House. I thought we would try and share a new dish, CauliPower. It’s a potato-flour battered Cauliflower with a spicy sauce. I was surprised to taste Cinnamon in the batter but it worked.
Gary got his Guru Curry.
He likes to get the puffy bread to go with it.
We had the Happy Crispy Rice too.
It’s Rosh Hashana the Jewish New Year. While I am not a religious person I do like to “observe” with food. It’s a tradition to start the new year with something sweet like apples and honey. Gary prepared a plate of sliced organic Apples and Dates Rolled in Coconut. So sweet!
