Breakfast: Blueberry Muffins with Fig Butter and Leftover Kale Salad to start a happy birthday!
Lunch: The leftover vegetable bean soup continued with added tomatoes making it even tastier than before.
Dinner: It was Gary’s big birthday and we celebrated by going to Candle 79 and indulging in a fanstastic meal. We started with drinks. I had the Green Goddess and Gary had a Manhattan with cherry infused bourbon.
For appetizers we had the polenta fries and the grilled artichokes. We cracked open a bottle of Querciabella Mongrana.
Gary chose his favorite, Seitan Piccata for his main dish.
I had the Wild Mushroom Crepe. Yummy!
I had no room for dessert but no birthday can be complete without a candle in something. Gary enjoyed this Chocolate Peanut Butter Bliss with vanilla ice cream. I had a Plum Rose Tea that was lovely.
This dinner was a vegan dream!
