What Vegans Eat – Day 1082, Travel Edition

Share

Breakfast: At lunch yesterday, our friend Wilbur brought us a bag of Grapefruits from his tree. We had one when we woke up.

Next up was classic Oatmeal with Apples, Raisins, Apricots and Walnuts.

Dinner: We are rehearsing every day now. Since it’s the weekend rehearsals are during the day, not in the evening. After rehearsal we thought, where should we go? It’s Saturday night! After considering driving over the hill to Santa Cruz or up north to Palo Alto, we opted for our favorite Vegetarian House. The place was jammed and there was a wait. I struck up a conversation with a couple who were also waiting. We learned they were from Atlanta and here for the first time. They were visiting their children, two sons and a daughter, all techies. One of their sons just started working at Tesla where their daughter already works. Their aunt was visiting from India. I shared my enthusiasm for the restaurant and all the menu items we liked. Once seated, I wanted my old favorites. We started with the Heavenly Salad.

And I needed soup – the Flying Buddha.

Gary got his new “steak and onions” favorite, Queens.

And we got the Curry Masala.

The menu is vast at this restaurant. You can see it here: VEGETARIAN HOUSE MENU
