What Vegans Eat – Day 1231, Travel Edition – Bay Area, CA


Breakfast: It’s Gary’s treat this morning, starting with Teeccino and Soy Foam.

He made a Vegetable Scramble with Tofu, Greens, Potatoes, Red Onions and Yellow Bell Peppers, topping his with Sriracha Sauce and Nutritional Yeast.

My version was simpler.

Lunch: After a satisfying savory breakfast we each had a Banana for lunch.

Dinner: Before my evening workout (the Into the Woods music rehearsal) we met our wonderful pianist, Mavis at Crepes Bistro. She said she’s going vegan! Mavis and I both had the Royal Veggie Crepe​ with Roasted Eggplant, Mushrooms, Avocado, Tomatoes, Carrots, Green Onions, marinated White Onion Sauce, Lemon Tahini Sauce and Spinach. They offer vegan or dairy cheese but I prefer it without. Gary ordered his Avocado Crepe and everybody chose the Buckwheat Crepe, which I confirmed to myself is my preferred choice.

Evening: Watermelon is the perfect summer snack.
