Breakfast: This was a hard day. I had no motivation to do anything. I finished reading the book I was reading for my radio show in the afternoon but my guest was MIA. I wasn’t feeling the inspiration to prepare a show by myself. For breakfast, I made a quick soup with cooked Red Lentils, Porcini Mushroom Powder and Turmeric. Gary had his favorite Oatmeal with Fruit and Nuts.
A little later I had an Apple. Did you know that an apple a day… ?
Lunch: Gary was the hero! He made a late lunch of Baked Tofu, Green Salad and Purple Sweet Potatoes and he agreed to come on the show with me. It’s always fun with Gary when he comes on It’s All About Food. I ate the Baby Kale Salad with Sunflower Seeds and Tahini Dressing.
I nibbled on the Baked Tofu.
Dinner: The radio show was terrific with Gary as fill-in guest! I hope you tune in. We rushed off to see the premier of The End of Meat at the Angelika Theater in Manhattan. I had interview the director Marc Pierschel three years ago when he was fundraising to make the film. Back at home, later in the evening we had the Purple Sweet Potatoes (it’s like a dessert) and some more Tofu.
