Breakfast: We had another Groupon for Dharma’s Restaurant and we were ready for a big breakfast. So it was over the river and through the woods, or rather over the reservoir, through the woods, over the hills and twisting highway 17 south to route 1 to Dharma’s Restaurant we go – oh!
We began as one must begin at Dharma’s with the Bolo Chai. It’s spicy!
I ordered the Greek Tofu Scramble and it was bursting with flavor. Organic tofu scrambled with kalamata olives, spinach, green onions and sun-dried tomatoes, served with grilled potatoes and toast. I eat one thing at a time. I enjoyed every rich mouthful of the scramble and piled it on the toast. I had no room for potatoes and saved them for another day.
Gary had been craving pancakes. The vegan pancakes at Dharma’s are made with cornmeal. You can’t see it in the picture but they were stuffed with a layer of lovely blueberries. He also had a side of Fakin’ Bacon.
I was not interested in food for the rest of the day. Gary made an evening treat of mint tea with dates, strawberries and Chocolove Dark Chocolate. I managed to find space for a few luxurious bites.
