What Vegans Eat – Day 1400

Breakfast: Again, it’s good to be home. Oatmeal topped with freshly made Apricot Butter, served with Grapefruit and Jasmine tea hit the spot.

Dinner: Gary joined me in Manhattan after my radio show interview with Jacy Reese, the author of “The End of Animal Farming”. We were going to go to the Food and Water Watch Holiday party in Brooklyn. We stopped at Beyond Sushi first because it’s right down the street from the studo and we love it. And they have happy hour – Sake for me and Greenpoint Tidal Lager for Gary.

We both got the Coconut Curry Soup. It’s a work of art with Butternut Squash, Asparagus, Artichoke, Roasted Chickpeas, Baby Spinach, Kaffir Lime Chips and Glass Noodles.

Evening: We did not spend much time at the party. When we got home we were hungry. Our meal at 5pm was more like lunch so we wanted some dinner. We had Tarte aux Pommes and Purple Sweet Potato Pie in the freezer. Pie for dinner! Apple first.

Then we finished the Purple Sweet Potato Pie.
