What Vegans Eat – Day 1622

Share

First Meal: It’s our one day off and we began with the usual all-organic Rolled Oats with Blueberries, Walnuts, Figs, Bananas and Soy Milk.

Tea: Do you know the way to San Jose? And once you are there, do you know your way around? Today we are touring San Jose. We started in Japantown for tea at Roy’s Station. They have been changing up the tea menu. I am sad that the Maté Latte is no longer offered. But I am settling into the Peach Mango Black Tea with Soy Milk. It’s light on black tea so it’s not caffeine intensive.

We walked all over downtown San Jose with Gary leading the tour, telling me what businesses used to be in places where new ones have taken over. We stopped into a noisy food court and it was happening! It was clearly a San Jose University hot spot. There were some vegan options offered but it wasn’t the right moment for this space. We continued on our long walk and made our way back to the “house”. The Vegetarian House, that is. Gary got the Clay Pot Sensation with the stuffed Bean Curd Skin.

We shared the Crispy Rice which is now our new favorite.

I ordered Gary’s old favorite, the Queens. We ate up everything and continued to walk it off on our way home.

A few blocks away we stumbled on the Vegan Bistro. They have vegan donuts!

It’s National Ice Cream Day and they serve lots of flavors of Vegan Ice Cream. We tasted a few and made our selections. Here is one happy boy!
