What Vegans Eat – Day 1754

Share

First Meal: We’re up early to meet my dear friend Josée’s son and his children. They are French and the children are studying here in the United States, one at Brown and the other at Tufts. I suggested Le Pain Quotidien by Central Park. I had the Smoothie Bowl with Coconut Yogurt. It’s a Yummy Bowl.

Gary went for the Steel Cut Oats with Bananas and Maple Syrup. Also yummy.

Second Meal: Afterwards we walked from the south side of Central Park down 5th Avenue to the Classic Stage on 13th Street to see Macbeth. We were both looking forward to it. We were both disappointed! All the actors were “acting” and not genuine. It was only 100 minutes, yet it dragged. We were happy to get home and enjoy the last of the Thanksgiving leftovers: Sweet Potatoes with Mango, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Baked Tofu, Kale Salad with Pomegranates and Kalamata Olives, Polenta Stuffing with Tempeh Bacon and Walnuts, Roasted Vegetable Gravy made with Dark Stock, almond mozzarella cheese and Cranberry Sauce (sweetened with Apricots and no sugar).
