First Meal: Twas the day after Thanksgiving and what a delight to sit down to a ready-made feast. Gary set out the good china, part of a grand collection of treasures left to Gary from his mom. Sweet Potatoes with Mango, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Baked Tofu, Kale Salad with Pomegranates and Kalamata Olives, Polenta Stuffing with Tempeh Bacon and Walnuts, and Roasted Vegetable Gravy made with Dark Stock. Plus Almond Mozzarella Cheese, such a great recipe!
It all comes together beautiful on the plate. This looks and tastes like Thanksgiving.
Well of course, there is pie. Pumpkin Pie served in another of Gary’s mom’s treasures, an adorable Pumpkin Pie plate.
Apple Pie should always be served on plates designed for individual pie slices. This pie is made of a few simple ingredients and is so good.
Second Meal: In the evening we opted for our selection of Almond Cheeses (plain, jalapeno and sundried tomato) along with Olives, Avocado, Mustard and Rice Crackers. This was fun eating.
