What Vegans Eat – Day 1755

Share

First Meal: Our friend Bilal is in town and he wanted to meet. Plus he had a craving for Knishes. I suggested we meet at Kinsh Nosh, a few blocks from where we live. It’s slushy outside, not the best to go out but we bundled up. We got the goods, Potato, Kasha, Mushroom and Broccoli Knishes and came back to the apartment. I served hot bowls of Carrot Lentil Soup followed by an Easy Kale Salad. I had to serve Kale to the creator of Easy Kale!.

We sliced a Potato and a Broccoli knish to share. Bilal will take the rest home to his family.

I baked bread, a variation of the Caraway Seed Bread, using Sage and Olives instead of Caraway Seeds. We served the Almond Mozzarella Cheese we made for Thanksgiving.

Snack: We had the rest of the Pumpkin Pie. It’s all gone now. Boo hoo.

It’s getting cold and starting to snow. I made a hot cup of Cocoa to go along with the book I am reading, Kid Food, for my show on Tuesday. Mm.

Second Meal: Coming to the end of the Thanksgiving weekend, with the rest of the Almond Mozzarella Cheese, Kale Salad, Knishes, and homemade Sage and Olive Bread.
