What Vegans Eat – Day 209


Brunch: It was time for the big event we had been planning for about a year – The Hartglass Family Circle. The last time we had one was 53 years ago. We all gathered at the fabulous Candle Cafe West at noon for the big event. We started with a green salad.
I selected the Saffron Lobster Mushroom Crusted Tofu with yukon gold potatoes, shallots, zucchini, wild mushrooms, cauliflower purée.
For dessert I had the Apple Cranberry Pie.
It was a long exciting day gathering with family members and meeting new ones. When we settled in later that evening. We had a lot of leftovers. I rarely drink coffee but since we had some saved from yesterday’s brunch I had an iced coffee with cashew cream. Then we had a simple dinner of kale with onions and a pink lentil soup.
