Breakfast: It’s a travel day. We left the hotel in San Francisco without eating breakfast and headed to San Jose to say goodbye to family members. We got some Earl Grey tea at a local Peet’s Coffee & Tea.
Lunch: We headed over to Khanh’s Vietnamese Restaurant. I got the Lemongress Tofu with Steamed Rice and Gary got the Combination Rice Noodles with Tofu and Mixed Vegetables. And I didn’t take a picture! We ordered the Tofu Rolls to go so that we’d have something to eat during our flight back to New York. It’s a great travel food and becoming a tradition. Yes, they were wrapped in a lot of plastic! Too much plastic! But we were happy to have them.
Evening: Home sweet home. We arrived after 1am in the morning. Once we settled in we enjoyed a comforting bowl of oatmeal with some of its friends – maple syrup, cinnamon, flax seeds, almonds, apples and figs.
