Breakfast: Just tea this morning, just green tea.
Lunch: We were having a little family get together since it was Veteran’s Day and the schools were closed. My parents, my brother’s family, Gary and I got together at the California Pizza Kitchen near our neighborhood at the The Shops at Atlas Park in Glendale, NY. It’s not anywhere near my favorite restaurant but it’s a great one-size-fits-all kind of place. There’s food for all palates including a gluten-free menu with gluten-free pizza. I always get the roasted vegetable salad and Gary gets a veggie pizza with no cheese.
Dinner: Part celebration, part just taking the day off, we decided to try our new favorite restaurant in our neighborhood, Green Zenphony. I tried the House Special Soup with veggie shrimp and a mob of great vegetables.
Gary had the Curry Veggie Chicken Noodle Soup.
We liked them both but we agreed that we preferred the soups we had before, the Roasted Veggie Duck Noodle Soup and the Roasted Veggie Pork Noodle Soup. The Green Bean dish was spectacular, just like the last time.
