Breakfast: Our Fruity Waffles recipe makes a lot of waffles and they are great the next day. I made a peanut butter cream, peanut butter blended with water to pour over my waffles.

Daily Green Juice: Kale, Collards, Celery, Carrots, Lime

Dinner: It’s Thanksgiving week and we are preparing a big meal for Thursday. Without a car, we walk to the grocery stores or take the subway. This was an all day shopping event, first taking the subway to get to Westerly and Whole Foods Market in Manhattan. After unloading our bags at home, we ventured out on foot to Queen’s Bazaar in Rego Park, where we get our olives, tahini, medjool dates and nuts. They’ve been adding more organic items too. We call the store “Thangod” because that’s what everyone says when we are there. 🙂

Green Zenphony is right around the corner in Rego Park. We had to stop in. We each got our favorites, Roasted Veggie Duck Noodle Soup for me, Roasted Veggie Pork Noodle Soup for Gary.

We always ask what greens they have. We were lucky, as they had just purchased Pea Pod Leaves that morning. Mmm.

Evening: As must as we didn’t want to, our last trip for the day was a walk to Trader Joe’s in Glendale where we got our soy foods – plain soy milk (soybeans and water), tofu, tempeh, and some condiments. We settled in at the end of the day with Rooibos Vanilla Almond Tea and nibbled on some of the dried cranberries and peanuts we purchased.
