Breakfast: Gary made our Rolled Oats breakfast and he likened it to the fruit salad his mom used to make. It had tons of Blueberries, Clementines, Bananas, Apples, Raisins and Walnuts, topped with Soy Milk and served with English Breakfast tea.
Lunch: Checking off our favorite eateries before we leave, we went to the Veggie Grill. I got the Bombay Bowl with Herb-roasted veggies, supergrains, steamed kale, cannellini beans, cilantro/green curry sauce with coconut milk, almonds, hemp seeds. The sauce was so good. Gary got the B-Wing Salad with veggie Buffalo Wings, chopped romaine, avocado, celery, tomato corn salsa, creamy ranch dressing and a side of fries.
Dinner: We met Gary’s sister and brother-in-law at Pasta Pomodoro and we loaded up on greens. I got a large organic mixed green salad with tomatoes, chick peas and pine nuts. Gary ordered all sides – the Farro sautéed with olive oil, fresh garlic, organic spinach and roma tomatoes, broccoli sautéed with olive oil, garlic and chili flakes. We both ordered Brussels sprouts with onions, garlic, olive oil and fresh sage.
Back in the pool house where we are staying we brewed some Rooibos Vanilla Almond tea. It’s cold outside!
