Breakfast: I feel like I am on the mend. I had a burst of energy and put it into making the morning’s oatmeal. Gary was not feeling as well. For that reason I cooked the oatmeal with nothing in it, just oats and water. We could each add to it what we wanted. When you feel sick lots of foods are no longer appealing. I topped mine with pumpkin sees, pecans. shredded coconut and soy milk. Gary went with a little brown sugar. We had Bai Mu Dan tea with lemon.
Daily Green Juice: Kale, Collards, Celery, Lemon, Ginger.
Lunch: Gary was not very hungry so I finished up the miso soup he had made the day before. It was good.
Dinner: The burst of energy from the morning was gone. I was going down again! Gary had his burst of energy, enough to make another big miso vegetable soup, brown rice spaghetti noodles on the side to add to it, and tempeh bacon. He grilled the leftover polenta that I had made a couple of days before. Nothing sounded good to me except the polenta. It was just right.
Evening: I made a pot of ginger lemon tea with freshly grated ginger, lemon zest and juice and a little agave. It’s very comforting to drink when you are not feeling well.
