Breakfast: I stayed over in Santa Cruz. I woke up to a beautiful, new day. Deo made us Ginger Tea and Green Smoothies with lots of frozen Berries and Fruit, Cucumber and extra Kale for me.

Morning Snack When I got back to Monte Sereno, our host, Tammy brought a big bag of freshly picked grapefruit, about 20 of them! I sliced up a couple immediately and we enjoyed them in the sunshine by the pool.

Lunch: We got away for lunch, back to “The House”, the Vegetarian House that is, for a fix. It was Father’s Day and the restaurant was noisy and packed! It was a joy to behold, so many people wanting, eating and celebrating vegan food. We began with a large Heavenly Salad.

And followed up with a large Flying Buddha. These are our traditions here in San Jose.

Dinner: The Father’s Day celebration began at 4pm back in Monte Sereno. We nibbled on Fresh Cherries, Olives, Corn Chips and Guacamole. Not really hungry at dinnertime, I had a half of a Baked Potato and some yummy Brussels Sprouts. There was Just Mayo Chipotle in the house and that went very well with my two choices. Later I found some room to enjoy some of Gary’s sister Deb’s Chinese Cabbage Salad with Almonds and Crispy Noodles.

Evening: It’s great to watch Gary’s nephew Zach who has a new interest in healthy eating. He decided to skip the Cream Pie and we made a Fresh Fruit Salad together with Mangoes, Strawberries, Black Berries and Blueberries. Back at the pool house we had some Teavana Blueberry Bliss tea.
