Breakfast: This morning we had a repeat breakfast with leftover Polenta served with Blueberries, Coconut, Flax Seeds and Vanilla Black Tea on the side.
Daily Green Juice: Kale, Collards, Celery, Lemon
Dinner: We were invited out to celebrate our neighbor Dan’s birthday. Last week we celebrated his wife, Marcia’s birthday. They suggested a place we had not been to, Stix Restaurant, with a kosher, Eastern European/Middle Eastern menu. Gary and I were really hungry since we skipped lunch. And it was worth it. We started with two orders of their homemade Humus with fresh bread. Gary and I don’t eat bread very often so this was a wonderful treat.
We all shared the Israeli Salad and everyone marveled over it’s simple yet delicious fresh flavor with every bite.
Gary and I ordered the Vegetable Kebabs with Whole Roma Tomatoes and Peppers. They were fabulous and unlike any veggie kebabs I had every had. Again, simple and delicious. It was served with Rice, Cole Slaw and a tasty Vinaigrette.
