What Vegans Eat – Day 746: Travel Edition


Breakfast: We had both needed sleep so badly. Despite going to bed at a reasonable time, we woke up at about 4am and struggled to get in a few more hours. Then it was time to get up and get ready for our Sitzprobe, the music rehearsal with the cast and our Klezmer style band for Fiddler on the Roof. I had the small remaining piece of Rainbow “Fish” from the Vegetarian House and then grabbed the faithful Corn Thins which I spread with Avocado. We both had English Breakfast Tea.
Dinner: After rehearsal we were invited to have dinner with Gary’s sister and brother-in-law and that meant going to the famiy favorite, Khanh’s. We had the usual Tofu Rolls.
Gary ordered his Rice Vermicelli and Vegetables and I had the Vegetable Combination. I typically eat my vegetable dish first. Then I take the bowl of Brown and Red Rice that is served with the meal and mix it with the remaining sauce from the vegetables and from the Tofu Rolls an top it with peanuts.
Evening: Later at the pool house, we had Bananas and Mint Tea. Bananas have melatonin which helps you sleep and we needed some good rest.
