It’s rare that Gary is under the weather. Today he woke up feeling “blech” and said he’d like to stay inside our room which had a beautiful view overlooking the Ligurian Sea.

I ventured out on my own. I started by ordering more tea at the front desk, which was right next to the bar where tea could be made. The manager suggested giving me an electric tea kettle to make tea in the room. How nice! I was given cups, and little tea pots and the kettle and I was set. I made us some tea in the room and we had some fruit and rice cakes to nibble on.

I brought my computer out on the terrace and read a book for an upcoming podcast interview. I had it stored on the computer.

In the afternoon Gary was feeling a little better so we went to El Dolz again. Gary wasn’t hungry and just had a tea. I went for my late afternoon Acai bowl breakfast and tea.

Later in the evening I took a walk to Ristorante Cinese Pechino-Rapallo for Tau-Fu e Verdura (tofu and vegetables) take out. I am grateful for Chinese restaurants everywhere, with food to go. I loaded up on Roasted Vegetables, Tofu with Vegetables, Spicy Tofu and Rice and brought it back to the room. I ate well, Gary wasn’t hungry.

The following day was cold and rainy outside. Gary was still under the weather so we stayed in most of the day. I had plenty of Chinese food leftovers to fill my belly.
