Michael Sowa, born in 1945, lives in Berlin and has worked as an illustrator for, among others, the satirical magazine Titanic and the legendary magazine The New Yorker. He has illustrated many bestsellers, such as Der weiße Neger Wumbaba and Der kleine König Dezember by Axel Hacke, as well as Esterhazy by Irene Dische and Hans-Magnus Enzensberger. His pictures are characterized by subtle humor and a masterful, old-masterly painting technique.
Sowa became known to a wider audience through the French film Amélie. He contributed to the film’s set design, as he also did for Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. In Japan, Sowa is one of the best-known European artists.

C’est vrai! What a joy to hear your voices! Celebrating the holidays AND Emma Goldman sounds just right. Like Emma, I must dance! I would love to see the dancing potatoes, that sounds right too.
Hi Nancy, Thank you for tuning in. We all will dance! Happy Holidays to you. Hugs, Caryn
