REAL Body Cream

Many of the commercial personal care products available have toxic ingredients in them. I like putting products on my skin that I know are safe to eat. The skin is the largest organ in the human body and what you put on your skin, goes in. I make a cream that I use on my face, hands, arms, legs and feet. It’s made with three simple ingredients, organic Shea Butter, organic Cocoa Butter and Organic Coconut Oil. It’s important that the ingredients are organic to avoid toxic residues from herbicides and pesticides. I love it.

This cream works best when applied after a shower or bath, when the skin is moist.

Ingredients
1/2 cup organic Shea Butter
1/4 cup organic Cocoa Butter
2 Tablespoons organic Coconut Oil

Directions
1. In a small saucepan, heat the ingredients on medium low heat until everything is melted. Remove from heat.
2. Pour the liquid into a medium-size stainless mixing bowl. If you want to add essential oil you can do that. Start with about 10 drops of lavender or other essential oil that you like. I do not add any fragrance. I like the light cocoa butter scent as is.
3. Let cool. The bowl can chill on the counter or in the refrigerator until firm. It can be soft and jiggle a little, just not liquid.
4. With a hand mixer, beat the mixture until light and fluffy. It should look like butter cream frosting. (You’ll want to taste it, but don’t! It will not be sweet and the flavor will disappoint).
Spoon the cream into a wide-mouth jar. It is now ready to use any time.
