Get energized with this Super Green Power Smoothie!
14 ounces green kale
1 cup water
2 ripe bananas, peeled
1 ripe pear, cut in sections
1 orange, peeled
1 cup frozen blueberries
2-6 medjool dates, pitted
1-4 tablespoon ground flax seeds
2 teaspoons maca powder
1-2 Tablespoon cocoa powder
1/4 cup sesame tahini
16 or more ice cubes
In a high-powered blender, blend the kale (with the stems) with the water until smooth.
With the blender covered and running on med-low speed, add in the fruits, then seeds and powders, followed by the tahini. Go to high-speed and blend until smooth. Add in the ice cubes and blend.
This recipe makes about 56 ounces which can serve 2 or more.
Note: A normal blender may be used but the ingredient will need to be well-chopped first. Also, more water may be necessary for blending. You will still have an energizing smoothie, but it may not be a smooth.
