Breakfast: I had made a decision to get my dad to his doctor. The problem was, would he agree to go. He has been very weak for two weeks or more. Gary and I went together to my parents’ home. It was going to be a long day. When we got to the house I made us bowls of Rolled Oats, Walnuts, Raisins, Strawberries and Almond Milk. The strawberries had been defrosted from frozen and were wonderful.
My dad didn’t want to go to the doctor, but I talked him into going to the hospital instead. We had an ambulance take him. My mom, Gary and I spent the next 7 hours with him in the hospital. My dad got fluids. medication and dinner. The rest of us sat and stood and waited. After taking mom home Gary and I went to our apartment. We were parched, hungry and tired.
Dinner: I made my favorite Herbal Infusion of Peppermint, Chamomile and Lemon. This hydrated me. I ate the leftover Chickpea and Spinach with the Spiced Sweet Potato Sauce. I topped it with Mushrooms and Nutritional Yeast. Gary went with his favorite comfort food – Oatmeal. It was a double Oats day for him.
