What Vegans Eat – Day 1033, Travel Edition


Lunch: We have a big long day planned and we got a late start. Before rehearsal we went over to Whole Foods for nourishment. We walked around the salad bar and ultimately decided on Smoothies. Gary gets a Kale Mango smoothie and my favorite is my own creation with Kale, Almond Milk, Peanut Butter and Blueberries.
Dinner: Rehearsal was long! I was teaching the quartet their difficult harmonies and Gary started choreographing and staging. We were going to Gary’s brother’s Holiday party but before getting dressed to go we had to eat. We stopped at Andale’s for burritos. This time I had the Tofu Burrito and Gary ordered the Veggie Burrito. We sat in silence as we vacuumed our food.
Evening: The holiday party was gorgeous with food and drinks and live music. We took plates of fresh and dried fruit and drank lots of decaffeinated teas.
We’re in that not so good habit of eating late. When we got back to the pool house I got into the leftover Salad and Potatoes. Gary made himself some Oatmeal.
