What Vegans Eat – Day 1235, Travel Edition – Bay Area, CA

Share

Breakfast: No rehearsal today! It’s a day off. But not really a day off, just time to work on everything else. We sat down for breakfast at noon! It’s been the same for days – Rolled Oats, Bananas, Cacao Nibs, Raisins, Apple and Soy Milk.

Lunch: Yesterday’s late lunch made the best leftovers: Seasoned Quinoa on a bed of Greens tossed with Tahini Balsamic dressing and dusted with Nutritional Yeast.

Dinner: This evening was date night. We were off to the movies to see Ocean’s 8. I picked a place called World Wraps to have a quick bite beforehand. It looked good online with vegan options spelled out clearly. We both ordered the Tahini Tofu Rice Paper Wrap, with Herbed Organic Tofu, Red Leaf Lettuce, Glass Noodles, Avocado, Rainbow Slaw, Cucumber, Cherry Tomato, Cilantro, Mint, Lemon Squeeze, Crispy Shallot, Spicy Tahini-Harissa Sauce. We waited for them at an outdoor table. One of the servers came out to apologize – they were out of avocado. Boo hoo! We asked for extra tofu instead. The wraps arrived and they were big and very tasty. Salty, for sure, all fast food is, but the sauce had a fresh taste with mint, cilantro and lemon.

This is a new item on my list of dishes to duplicate or improve upon at home.
