What Vegans Eat – Day 1237, Travel Edition – Bay Area, CA

Breakfast: When we eat late at night, we eat later the next day. My first meal of the day was at 1:30pm. It was the dish Gary had made last night. I wasn’t ready for it then but I craved it now.

Dinner: We had dinner plans with Jared and Jenn. Jared is my sister-in-law’s cousin and Jenn is his fiancé. They recently got engaged while vacationing in Italy. They both live back east but are in San Francisco for the summer. They had spent the day in Santa Cruz and we met at our home away from home, the Vegetarian House. We began with the Heavenly Salad.

Gary had his current go-to dish, the Queen’s Joy, but this time he ordered a piece of Roti Bread to go with it. He had eyed this bread the last time we were here and was delighted to try some today. It was very fresh with a flaky texture.

Yes, I had the Spicy Mambo again with Lion’s Mane Mushrooms.

Jared chose the Guru’s Curry.

Jenn ordered one of my favorites, the Flying Buddha and I’m glad we all shared our dishes because I love this one.
