What Vegans Eat – Day 1247, Travel Edition – Bay Area, CA

Breakfast: Back at rehearsal today with the teens from 9:30am-4:30am. I had a Tangelo in the morning, fresh from the tree at the apartment we are renting.

Lunch: I am very glad to have the cooked Quinoa and Red Lentils for a daily meal. I had them for lunch.

Dinner: In between teen and adult rehearsals I made a big Salad with Greens, Green Onions, Cherry Tomatoes, Micro Greens, Celery Sticks and Balsamic Tahini Dressing. I thoroughly enjoyed it. When we were in rehearsal a woman who was rehearsing in a different studio came into our rehearsal accusing us of stealing two of her children’s meals. She said they saw a lady making salad in the Green Room (the special lounge room for cast members), implying that was who took the food. I spoke up and said I was that lady who made the salad. The woman left in a huff and we were all disturbed by her accusation.

Later when we were leaving the theater we saw the same woman at the entrance and asked her if she had found her kids’ meals. Yes she had found them, they had been put in a different place. She didn’t apologize for accusing me of stealing earlier that evening.

Evening: Back at home I was hungry for something starchy. Gary made Yellow Potatoes and I had a couple of small ones with Sauerkraut.
