What Vegans Eat – Day 1303

Share

Breakfast: All I wanted was the Pears I had been waiting for to ripen. They were ready. I sliced them and put them in a bowl and topped them with what was left of the Almond Ricotta. Gary was making a bowl of Rolled Oats for himself. I took out the frozen Raspberries and topped my pears and offered some to Gary. I sprinkled Flax Seeds on top. He did the same. Then he offered me the freshly made, warm Apricot Butter. (He had discarded the first batch when he discovered an apricot pit got blended up in to the mix making it gritty and sandy.) I think we peaked in our illness yesterday and are recovering now. It’s good to feel better.

Lunch: We took a long walk in the hot, humid air. On the way back we stopped into the Red Pipe and had a cool drink, a Hibiscus, Mango herbal tea.

Dinner: I only wanted cool food on this hot day and made a giant Salad with Garbanzo Beans, Olives, Tomatoes, Carrots, Snap Peas and Tahini Dressing. We brought out the GreyDayBlue, the vegan Blue Cheese by Cheezehound to spread on Pears.

Then we got serious and brought out some Figs too. Blue Cheese on Pears, Blue Cheese on Figs. This was an incredible treat.

Evening: The terrace is helpful in very hot weather especially in the evening. Gary carved the Cantaloupe. I finished the Samuel Smith Chocolate Stout I opened a few days ago and he had Anchor Steam.
