Breakfast: Today’s the big day. I will be singing in the Celebration of Lile O. Cruse, memorial program at the Rio Theater in Santa Cruz. This is the reason we came out to California this week. I will be singing The Impossible Dream. The concert is filled with people who have worked with Lile over the years. He was the producer and conductor of two musicals I had performed in at Cabrillo Stage in Aptos, California. I was honored to be a part of the program. Gary and I began the day with cold Rolled Oats, Soy Milk, Raisins, Apples, Bananas and Cashew Yogurt. I prepared my Neti pot to clear out my nasal passages. We took our vitamins and I added a little Vitamin C to the mix.
Lunch: We had a rehearsal starting at noon and the performance would begin at 6pm. The program organizers were bringing in lunch. I asked for a simple salad, no bread, dressing on the side. It came with Croutons on it that I gingerly picked out. I was hungry and grateful for the food.
Dinner: The concert went very well. It was filled with so much love. I was delighted to see many friends and fellow performers I had not seen in a very long time. After the event Gary and I settled in. I was tired and wound up and then I realized I was hungry. I opened up a container of Garbanzo Beans and ate the whole box. Then we repeated breakfast with another bowl of Oats.
Last but not least, we broke into the bag of cookies that were placed in our room when we stayed at The Stanford Inn earlier this week.
