What Vegans Eat – Day 1396

Share

Breakfast: The big day is here. Instinctively my body knows to conserve energy until my concert this evening. I feel like I am in a fog. Gary makes our cups of Rolled Oats, Apples, Raisins, Walnuts and Soy Milk. Gary’s dad’s medications make up the background. Gary also made a thermos of my herb tea blend (summer savory, marjoram, basil, anise, turmeric, black pepper) to take to the theater.

Lunch: We move ourselves into the theater. I set up my clothes and makeup in the dressing room. I pulled a chair outside and sat in the sun. The day moves slowly. I am feeling very hungry. Gary is very aware of my wanting to avoid salt. He gets me a bag of greens and we agree that the Brown/Red Rice blend at Khanh’s along with their Tofu Rolls will be acceptable for me, along with Green tea.

Evening: The concert was wonderful! Everything went as planned. I sang all my songs, the audience was full of love. My pianist was excellent! And so was Gary. Afterwards, we talked about going out but there wasn’t anywhere close-by that was open so we went back to Gary’s dad’s house where we made a late night supper. We had Salad with more of the Brown/Red Rice blend, Black Beans and Tahini/Lime Dressing. With our bellies full and our minds relieved that the big event is over, we went off to sleep. The music is still playing in my head and probably will all week until I change the record by singing other music.
