What Vegans Eat – Day 1479

First Meal: We had a lot to do early in the day and we didn’t sit down to eat until around 2pm. By then we were so hungry. We quickly warmed up all the prepared food: organic Polenta, organic Black Beans, organic Sweet Potatoes. I topped my Beans with Tahini Dressing, it’s like sour cream only better. I quickly grilled some organic Plantains and put 1/2 an Avocado on each plate.

 
We went shopping for a few needed items and my eye caught a pocketbook with this label that said “Vegan Leather”. I know it’s not food, but it may be a vegan leather made with a natural fiber from plant that is used for food, like Pineapple for example. I don’t know what it was made from but I loved it and Gary bought it for me.

 
Next stop, the Vegetarian House. We didn’t think we were that hungry until we sat down and read the menu. We had to have the Heavenly Salad.

 
And I wanted my old favorite, the Flying Buddha Soup.

 
Gary ordered a special called 3 Cup Wonder. It had a Soy Protein Balls, Dates, Goji Berries, Mushrooms, Basil and I would guess a spice blend like the Chinese Five Spice. It was very good. And, BONUS… I got all the mushrooms,
